Lunch Fit For The Executive at Chops Chicago Steakhouse

What does Makati and Chicago have in common? They are both financial centers, cosmopolitan and their charming residents both have a taste for fine food like juicy steaks. It is but fitting that a tribute to Chicago’s finest steaks can be found in Makati, tucked in the topmost part of Greenbelt 5 – Chops Chicago Steakhouse. Here at Chops, company executives and businessmen discreetly to discuss important matters relating to their respective trades over chunks and chunks of tasty meat, wine, and scrumptious desserts.

In order to satisfy their customers, Chops lets them choose their desired cuts with the actual meat that will be grilled for your grand satisfaction. Marbling meats is a marveling treat that they can give their customers with a giant cut of US-certified Angus Rib Eye Bone grilled in Tomahawk Steak that can feed 4 to 5 persons, both baked and grilled preferably medium-rare to enjoy the rich taste.

Service bread of White Wheat and Rye were served, together with a cream of Asparagus Soup. The two proved to be good starters as they are so light to the stomach, just enough to kickstart a big appetite for the heavy, and meat-loaded Executive Lunch Set coming.

Ribs and Charbroiled Slab of Bacon made good early appearances for this meal. The classic Ribs are soft, melts in the mouth and is a good companion with French Fries and Onion Rings. Crowd favorite is the Charbroiled Slab of Bacon, handmade at Chops with pineapple-honey sauce dip. I was not particularly interested with the dip since this bacon tasted natural, sans processed taste.

Star of the show is the Wisconsin Tenderloin cooked medium rare, and served in a wooden chopping board. The meat serving is half the regular serving the comes with the Executive Lunch Set Menu that costs PhP888. With excellent temperature control, the meat retained its juiciness and the characteristic pinkish color, perfect with in-house gravy and the small cilantro salad siding.

Every bulalo-eater’s favorite treat, the Bone Marrow fared as a good side dish, served with toasted bread and the first “casualty” to the hungry bloggers. Chops Executive Lunch Set Menu gives you a different selection of twelve (12) side dishes to choose from.

Bacon and Broccoli, Buttered Corn, Mashed Potato Overload, and Creamy Spinach with Eggs and Parmesan fared good as well in our list of side dishes. As the last morsels are consumed, the lunch is not done yet as its best to cap the meal in style.

We recommend that you puff a cigar after the heavy lunch, not a tobacco cigar but the Dark Chocolate Cigar. Too bad the camera died before the precious moment could be captured but well enough, the Schmuzter Editor-in-Chief was able take a snapshot. The barquillos-like dessert, filled with vanilla and rich dark chocolate was temptation enough even for those in a diet. Over-all, lunch is superb coupled with dim-lit ambience. Come over and dine at Chops Chicago Steakhouse to experience steak heaven in Makati.
