Kuppa Fort Bonifacio: Brewing Soon in the Metro

Coffee lovers who knows how to appreciate good coffee would always go by this maxim: Quality coffee at a good price. As a coffee lover, I have taken great rounds in tasting great coffee in places I have visited. Some of those coffee shops or café’s I found by accident, most by word of mouth and a number, trusted brands. Even as I love coffee, I would often choose days that I would enjoy this cup. While good coffee is a premium, so as precious sleep too. Nevertheless, a good coffee experience is worth a few hours worth of my extra time awake. I was invited to a product launching event of Alcatel in Relik Tapa Bar when I stumbled upon a pleasant surprise. Right on the ground floor of Commerce Center at the corner of 4th and 31st Avenue in Bonifacio Global City hangs a tarp announcing the arrival of a trusted Bacólod café brand at the very heart of this ever changing artistic metropolis and they will be brewing the Metro’s best coffee soon.

Cutting the chase short as some of you might have already guessed, it’s Kuppa. Kuppa is one of the most favorite coffee shops in Bacólod City and yours truly have enjoyed a wonderful coffee experience in it’s first café in the Bacólod Chinatown District. Coffee at Kuppa is in itself an experience with the city’s heritage. No wonder why Negrénses from all walks of life has come to love and always come back at Kuppa. Bacólod Foodie Tiffany Yapjoco first broke the news in her Tumblr page but I was enlightened that I myself found out where it will actually be. Enlightened by what I discovered, I immediately went near the still being tidied place and took a peek. It seems that the Lord is on my side since at that very moment, the very owner of Kuppa came out maybe curious with who is taking a peek. Ms. Karen Lo, the owner of Kuppa was kind enough to answer my simple query and invited me inside to actually see the arrangements being done.

Since the arrangements being done is not complete yet, I followed courtesy of not taking pictures of the interiors. With the looks of the interiors, the preparations are already at the 90%. The coffee equipments are already in place and is ready for work soon. Kuppa’s staff and Ms. Karen herself was happy to tell me that the coffee machine will be the first of it’s kind in the country, sourced from the European Coffee Heaven that is Italy. What’s more unique is that your coffee will be roasted, ground and brewed in the coffee shop itself, ensuring freshness. Since it is their first offering in the busy coffee lovers of Metropolitan Manila, their equipment is an improvement from their current unit in the City of Smiles. Asked why the company chose Bonifacio Global City is their choice for the first branch, she immediately answered that it is the fastest growing development area in the Metro and the ambience fits the kind of coffee experience they want their customers to feel, simply chill and enjoying the best of coffee.

As a courtesy for my great interest and enthusiasm for the opening of their café, they offered me a complimentary cup of coffee as a teaser on what they will offer soon. I was treated to a cup of latte as I was absorbing the relaxing ambience of the place event as things are yet to be in place. True to their slogan, I experienced “Coffee as it should be”, simply high quality taste of good coffee. At the cost between PhP80 to 120, you can experience premium coffee, quite affordable than usual high-end coffee shops that line Bonifacio Global City. The location is a plus too with the café proximate enough to most office and commercial establishments yet distanced enough from the busy streets for you to enjoy coffee at best. Their selection of good food within the price range of PhP100 to 400, you and your friends can enjoy quality chill time or study time here. Kuppa is set to operate in full swing in the middle of next week so if you have time and in the area, do drop by to the newest and most unique coffee experience in town.
