Merci Brightens Lacson Tourism Strip for Electric Masskara

Bacólod City’s Masskara Festival is a festival showcasing the Bacóleño’s ingenuity and innovativeness. One of the recent traditions in Masskara Festival is the Electric Masskara. Electric Masskara 2011 will again light up the Lacson Tourism Strip on October 14 and 15. This part of Lacson Street, called Lacson Tourism Strip, is home to the city’s high-class stores, hotels, shops and restaurants that offer the most delectable treat in the city. Now on its fifth year, Electric Masskara will feature mask-wearing dancers on lit-up floats.  Imagine your usual Masskara Dances made better by glowing lights and masks as dancers perform their street numbers. The Performing Float Competition will include participants from different barangays on the first day while the second day will showcase electric floats from the corporate sector and barangay winners in an Electric Float Parade. Watch as the different barangays showcase their own homegrown artistic talents and skills.

MERCI Pasalubong Treats joins Electric Masskara 2011 with not only one but two nights of stage shows at the corner of Lacson St. and 13th St. (beside Mayfair Plaza) on October 14 and 15.  A live band will provide music for the party crowd.  Also entertaining the merrymakers will be Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Finalist and Bacolod’s dancesport pride Neilbeth and Semi-finalist beatboxers First Beat Effect. What a great night to spend time with family or friends who love to go party at night. Not only will you enjoy, you will also receive treats and prizes. The Merci Pasalubong Treats shows will also feature onstage games and prizes.  Not only will one get a chance to receive prizes from Merci, souvenirs will be given free to the merrymaking crowd. Gear up for that perfect vacation photo with your barkada with two free photo booths that will also be located in front of the MERCI Mayfair Branch. Not only that, what more perfect way to take that Masskara photo than having a photo-op with costume laden dancers. The public can bring their own cameras and take pictures of themselves with Masskara dancers in full costumes 3 p.m.-12 midnight.

The fun will not only be at Mayfair Plaza but also up dowtown. Merci Pasalubong Treats customers at the SM City Bacolod Branch will receive free Merci souvenirs from October 14-16, 2011.  For a minimum purchase of P 500 worth of MERCI products, they can get a customized twistable fan. A free T-shirt can be availed for a minimum of P 1,500 worth of MERCI products. What a good way to bring home tasty treats from Bacólod’s most trusted brand. If you are a tourist going or will be going to the City of Smiles, Merci also has something for you. The Travel Plus promo is also ongoing where customers can avail of a 10% DISCOUNT on all MERCI Products at Pasalubong Centers in Singcang, SM City, Mandalagan, Mayfair, Gaisano and 888 Chinatown Square. Customers need only to present their bus, plane or ferry ticket. Giving back to the city that nurtured their tasty business, the two-night Merci Pasalubong Treats shows will be the launch of a surprise campaign for the premiere City of Smiles, Bacolod City.
